transforming education and passion into Health Coaching
Combining science with my own experiences, I strongly believe that wholesome food and movement are key to a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life.
It is all about a balance that fits with our individual lives.
As a child, I was a ball of energy, always on the move with a talent for sports. My journey through competitive sports, challenges with diet during puberty, and a transformative experience with marathon running taught me one crucial lesson: daily habits shape our health and happiness.

Growing up, I was a ball of energy, always chasing my older brothers and playing around. Thanks to my love for sports, the running track and swimming pool became my playgrounds. Convincing me to take a break from training was always a mission for my parents, especially when I turned into a human blueberry from the cold water. As you can guess, all those training hours sharpened my determination and discipline, which became my superpowers. So, when I started competing in Modern Pentathlon, I was a magnet for medals and titles.
Just when I thought I had it all figured out, puberty hit. Suddenly, I found myself a few kilos heavier with a more feminine figure (finally!). It was a tough change, especially when coaches started to link my slower times to my weight. And let’s be honest, at school or home we do not necessarily learn what’s best for our health. So my diet was a mix of the good (thanks to my parents for the fruits and veggies!) and the not-so-good (pizza and pastries as a snack). During this time, my relationship with food turned from carefree eating to a numbers game – calories in, calories out.
I became focused on what NOT to eat rather than properly taking care of my body.
When I moved to the Netherlands for my studies, it was my chance to redefine my lifestyle away from the pressure of competitive sports. At first, the freedom was really exciting and fun! However, having no structure led me to neglect my well-being. The initial joy of eating and doing whatever I wanted (you know it, care-free study time), was quickly replaced by the feeling of being lost in life.

IT IS IN OUR HANDS TO CREATE OUR OWN BALANCED HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.
The turning point came when my dad and I decided to run a half marathon together. Challenge accepted! Training brought back my love for running and exercising – it was no longer about winning, but about feeling alive and joyful. That first half marathon sparked a huge passion for marathon running. Since then, I’ve finished several marathons (four so far, and training for my fifth) and even an ultra-marathon of 63 kilometres. This journey taught me what to eat and how to take care of my body. A life change is always the best time to create new habits. So, I learned how to form new, sustainable habits that supported my physical and mental health, to bring me everyday joy.
